2022. Education Sector Planning Course

The Education Sector Planning (ESP) Course was held from 12 January to 29 November 2022 in a fully online mode. The ESP Course provides participants with the fundamentals of educational planning and applied skills on education sector diagnosis and plan preparation. Certificate of Advanced Studies in Educational Planning and Management is awarded to participants who successfully completed two components of the course: (i) Foundations of Education Sector Planning and (ii) Applied Education Sector. Upon successful completion of the ESP course, participants should be able to: (1) Conduct statistical analysis for education sector planning and management; (2) Design and draft an education sector diagnosis; (3) Use simulation/projection tools for plan target setting; (4) Evaluate the relevance and feasibility of alternative scenarios to attain the set objectives and strategies; (5) Operationalize plan objectives into education sector programmes; (6) Organize collaborative work for education sector planning tasks; (7) Design organizational frameworks for implementation, monitoring and evaluation; (8) Select, analyse and present relevant information for planning and (9) Moderate dialogue and consultation with stakeholders in the plan preparation process. Participants spent an average of 330 hours on the course-related work.
